Mark Anthony Forte, age 58, of Hickory, N.C., passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at his residence.
Mark was born March 2, 1959, in Painesville, Ohio, to the late William A. Forte Sr. and Ida Guglielmo Forte. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William "Billy" Forte Jr., and a sister, Polly Forte Ratliff.
Mark was of the Christian faith and a previous member of the Hickory Jaycee's. He was owner and operator of Java Hut Express in Hickory, Steel Horses in Lenoir, N.C., and was previously employed by Carpenter Decorating.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Stowell Forte of the home; two sons, Ryan Forte and wife, Danielle, of Charlotte, N.C., and Nick Forte and girlfriend, Courtney Lewallen, of Hickory, N.C.; a grandson, Jett Forte, and a granddaughter, Veda Forte, both of Charlotte, N.C.; two sisters, Nancy Forte Bell and husband, Charlie, of Lutz, Fla., and Molly Forte Lofton and husband, Dennis, of Riverview, Fla.; twin brother, Luke Forte of Thonotosassa, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Bobby Ratliff of Lenoir, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Debbie Forte of Riverview, Fla.; and his best friends, Bob Hennessey and Michael Patton.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2017, in the Chapel of BASS-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, with Pastor Ann Wepner officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 - 1 p.m. prior to the Service at the Funeral Home.
