Martin Ray Olds, 70, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 18, 2017.
The son of Harold E. and Mary (Backus) Olds, Martin was born on June 11, 1947, in Fayetteville, WV.
Marty was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War.
Marty was thirty-year employee of Moore Light Company.
A man of many interests and talents; Marty enjoyed fishing, gardening and taking long walks in the woods. A wonderful story teller, he would share his stories with his friends while sharing a morning cup of coffee with friends at McDonalds. Marty was a wonderful, son, brother, dad and grandpa, he supported and encouraged his family.
Marty will be remembered for his work ethic, his sense of duty, and love of his friends and family. He was the rock of his family.
Marty is survived by his mother, Mary McGill of Ashtabula; Linda Reynolds, his devoted companion of seventeen years; daughters, Cynthia Olds of Conneaut, Michelle Ramsey of Girard, PA, Rachel Olds and Allison Olds also of Conneaut; fourteen loving grandchildren; twelve precious great-grandchildren; his sister, Rita (Bob) Hunt of Conneaut; nieces and nephews.
Marty was preceded in death by his dad, Harold Olds; his daughter, Angela Olds in infancy; his beloved pet "children" Stormer and Zeus who crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Greenlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, 3140 East Center Street, North Kingsville, Ohio. Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Cowle Post #151, Conneaut, Ohio.
No calling hours will be observed.
