Melissa A. "Lissy" Scully, age 44, formerly of Ashtabula, suffered a brain aneurysm on Monday and passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017.
She was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, on Oct. 24, 1972, the daughter of Linda (Bisaroe) and Larry Scully.
Melissa graduated from Eastlake North HS and worked many years for Norman Noble Mfg. and has been the manager of Papa Joes Subs in Euclid for the past 5 years.
She enjoyed golfing and swimming and she loved her three pugs: Maggie, Max and Milo.
Melissa will be fondly remembered as a kind and loving daughter, sister, niece and friend. She was always smiling and laughing and in her own words and in the way she would respond to funny texts or when making jokes Melissa leaves us with "Baaaahaaaa". Remember her with smiles instead of tears.
She is survived by her loving family: her parents, Linda M. (Bisaroe) Henderson and Larry Scully; her siblings, Michael J. Scully, Jill (Simon) Smuk, and David Henderson; her aunts and uncles, Tim Bisaroe, Karen (Steve) Kiraly, and Virginia Rand; her companion, Jay Keller; and many cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2017, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the MONREAL FUNERAL HOME, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake.
Just as Melissa was generous in life so was she in death. Through organ donation Melissa has saved the lives of 4 people and helped heal many more. The family asks that memorial contributions be made in her name to Lifebanc, envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
Online obituary and condolences will be available at www.monreal.com.
The CZUP FUNERAL HOME, 1329 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, is handling the arrangements for the family.
