Michael G. Miklacic (41) of Ashtabula died Thursday June 1, 2017.
Born November 28, 1975 in Ashtabula.
Michael is a 1994 graduate of Jefferson High School. He attended Thiel College on a football scholarship and decathlon athlete. Mike was a member of Phi Beta Phi Fraternity and served as Vice President. On Aug. 28, 2004 he married Marian DiSalvatore in Ashtabula.
He was employed by Grand River Rubber. Mike was a coach for Midget League and Lakeside Jr. High Football. He was volunteer coach for the Lakeside Track team specializing in pole vault.
He was a sports enthusiast supporting the Cleveland Browns football. He enjoyed spending time with his children and supporting their youth athletics particularly YMCA of Ashtabula swim team.
Survivors include his wife Marian (DiSalvatore) and children Michael and Marygrace of Ashtabula. His parents Bill and Diane Foust and Mike Miklacic. Parent's in law Sam and Mary Grace( Godmother) DiSalvatore. Sisters and brother, Nancy (Roger) Tackett, Sue Sidley, Tina (Cal) Meckley, Cyndi (Chad) Tempesta, Amy Richards, Scott (Kelly) Peggs and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Midge and Jim McKain, Edith and Mike Miklacic, and niece Diane Brooks.
Funeral service will be on Saturday June 3, (today) at 1P.M. in Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. in Ashtabula with Deacon Richard Johnson of Our Lady of Peace Parish. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 to the time of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Catholic Charities of Ashtabula for Mental Health issues.
