Paul G. Roberts, 83, passed away peacefully May 15, 2017, at his home.
He was born on Aug. 7, 1933, in McFarlan, W.Va., the son of Benjamin and Gladys (Fortney) Roberts.
On Dec. 31, 1974, Paul married Kay F. Duffey, his loving and devoted wife of over 42 years.
Paul was very proud to have worked for over 30 years in the gas and oil well industry. He worked for Jerry Lemire's company: Hunter Cambrian Inc.
Paul enjoyed watching sports on TV and he followed all of the Ohio sports teams, but he really enjoyed watching his West Virginia Mountaineers. Paul was a proud and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his loving family: his wife Kay; his daughters, Sheila (Russ) Ables of New Concord, Sonia Potts of Roaming Shores, Debra (Rich) Pursel of Wauseon, and Kimberly (Kevin) Zigmund of Saybrook; his son Michael (Emily) of Roaming Shores; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his brother, Loyal (Lois) Roberts; and his sisters, Martha Jane Dye, Marie Givins and Marjorie Roberts.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Paula Mellor; his grandson David Ables; and his siblings, Adrian, Charles, Benjamin, Velma, Lovell and twin sisters in infancy.
A memorial service to celebrate Paul's life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at 2p.m., at the Eagleville Bible Church, 1981 St. Rt. 45, Rock Creek.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions in Paul's name be given to Bella Care Hospice, 1933 St. Rt 45, Austinburg, Ohio 44010.
The CZUP FUNERAL HOME, 1329 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, is handling the arrangements for the family.
