Richard Alan Tremblay died unexpectedly on October 6, 2017, in Jackson, Tennessee. Born October 29, 1963 in Ashtabula, Ohio, Rick will be remembered as a lifelong lover of all creatures on the planet, and loyal to the many friends he met when residing in Ohio, Colorado, Utah and Tennessee. It's hoped that his unique sense of humor and irresistible laugh remain forever in our hearts.
There were no strangers in Rick's life; he smiled and spoke with everyone on his path, always interested in building knowledge of people and the world, helping when he could. Playing frisbee golf, collecting heart shaped rocks and listening to his favorite music followed as passions. Never far from his side was Tilda, his canine partner in every adventure that could include her.
Rick's expansive interests allowed him to make many career turns; he was especially skilled in thinking through challenges and creating solutions.
Also a devoted son, Rick called his mother several times each week, just to tell her he loved her. While living in Nashville, Rick became a right hand to his father Jim Tremblay during Jim's declining years.
Always the proud father, his daughter, Teresa Tremblay was the joy of his life, and he loved to share her latest accomplishments with the world. Also surviving Rick are his mother, Mary Carlisle Tremblay, 5 siblings Judy Hegge (Ron), Kathy Allin, Jim Tremblay (Mary Ann), David Tremblay (Tabatha) Sue Behm (Marty) and his Uncle Paul (Jean) Tremblay. Many nieces, nephews and cousins remember Rick's sense of humor and huge hugs. Also surviving Rick are Patty Young (Teresa's mother), Debbie Rios, Tom Clint, and Lance and Ruth Ledford, each of whom were exceptional friends of the heart.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 PM, Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Covenant Presbyterian Church (3720 N Highland Avenue, Jackson, TN 38305).
A custodial financial account for Rick's daughter Teresa Tremblay has been established. If so inclined, donations can be sent by mail or delivered in person to the Bank of Jackson, 420 Oil Well Road, Jackson, Tennessee 38305. Donations sent to the bank should be made out to Teresa Tremblay.
