Richard (Dick) L. Wolfe, age 77, a resident of Andover and proud veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp, passed Friday, July 14, 2017 at his daughters residence.
Dick was born April 7, 1940, in West Farmington, a son of the late William M. and Florence (Rice) Wolfe.
Formerly, he was a sign erector and member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union. He was the co-owner and operator of Andover Appliance Center for 25 years.
He was a a volunteer fire fighter at the Bristol Township Fire Department, Bristol, Pa and a charter member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles 4035, Andover, Ohio.
Dick enjoyed cheering on his favorite major league baseball team the Boston Red Sox, playing cards and the game of golf with his friends.
He leaves to cherish his memories his partner Rebecca Shine of Andover, Ohio; two sons Gregory S. Wolfe of Williamsfield, Ohio; Bradley K. (Julie) Wolfe of Youngstown, Ohio; Diane M. (Jeffrey) Penn of Cortland, Ohio; and his four favorite granddaughters, Ashley, Rachel, LeAnn and Deneen and his 4 great grandchildren; his brothers, Leonard Arnold of Fort White, Florida and Harlan Wolfe of Farmdale, Ohio.
Besides his wife: Bonnie L. White whom he married February 19, 1962; Dick was preceded in death by five brothers: Bill Wolfe, Milton Wolfe, Raymond Wolfe, Glenn Arnold and Eugene Arnold; and two sisters: Doretta Real and Alice Salo.
Dicks family provided a home funeral celebration and he was laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover, Ohio.
