Robert "Bob Andy" Dale Anderson, 86, passed away peacefully in Melbourne, FL on January 9, 2017.
Bob was born in Ashtabula, Ohio on June 28, 1930. He worked as a gas controller at Elkam Metals and Union Carbide in Ashtabula, Ohio, where he retired from after 35 years.
Bob enjoyed buying and selling antiques with his wife Darla. He was a member of the American Legion, Saybrook Grange and the VFW.
Bob is lovingly remembered by his surviving children, Daniel (Colleen) Anderson of Melbourne, FL and Andrew (Sybrina) Anderson of Palm Bay, FL; sister, Janet (James) Wessollek of Taylorsville, NC; grandchildren, Aimee Scott, Hunter and Daniel Anderson, and Christian Hobbs of Brevard County, Florida, and Aric, Carl, and Alex Anderson of Ohio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Darla Mae Anderson, of 40 years, whom he married on February 13, 1953; son, Mark Anderson; and sister June Townsend.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 11 AM at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Ashtabula, OH where he will be laid to rest next to his wife and son. Pastor Samara Jenkins will officiate.
