Timothy F. Joy, II, age 38, of Zanesville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Genesis Hospital Emergency Department in Zanesville. He was born Wednesday, April 5, 1978, in Ashtabula, OH the son of David R. Hathy and Sharon M. (Grow) Hathy.
Timothy worked for the Cambridge Developmental Center for several years. He enjoyed animals, family, friends and lived life to the fullest.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, Blake Joy of Zanesville; two sisters, Jessica (James) Snell of Painesville, and Misty (Anthony) Nocera of Mentor; two brothers, David R. Hathy, II of Mentor and Justin T. Hathy, of Ashtabula; his grandmother, Carol Fryan, of Painesville; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Jeremy L. Hathy; grandparents, Henry and Alma Gayheart, Richard E. Hathy and Delores Cottrell; aunt, Vicki Hathy; and uncle, Kenneth R. Grow.
Per his son's request, and in Timothy's honor, please wear bright colors because he was always happy and lived life to the fullest. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at the HILLIS, COMBS & NESTOR FUNERAL HOME, 935 Forest Ave., Zanesville, where funeral services will be held at 3 p.m.
