Victor Vernon Guile, age 75, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at his home.
Born August 10, 1941, in Gloversville, N.Y., he was the son of Victor Sr. and Ruth (Palmatere) Guile.
On Dec. 1, 1962, Victor married Jeanette, and together they shared fifty-four wonderful years.
His career as a truck driver allowed them to experience many different places, and meet many wonderful people.
Victor also had a huge love for cars, and thus, in 1999 took over Lakeshore Park Cruisers, which he held the position of Cruise Master for fifteen years. He also started the car show at the Covered Bridge Pizza in Saybrook from 1995 to 2000.
One of his greatest achievements was the House Rule Bill #165 that he was able to pass with Ross Boggs, that allowed owners of antique cars to use the same year plates and not the historical plates.
Victor leaves behind his beloved wife, Jeanette (Siravo) Guile; sons, Christopher (Melinda) and Brian David (Tracy) Guile; sisters, Elaine (Ken) Carlson and Jean Guile; brother, Keith Howard (Bonnie) Guile; grandchildren, David, April, Michael, Matthew, Kayla, and Alexandra Guile; and great-grandchildren, Seth, Jareth, Allison, and Samuel.
A Service of Remembrance will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at the Lakeshore Park office on East 1st St. in Ashtabula.
Memorial contributions in his name may be made to his wife, Jeanette Guile.
