William C. "Bill" Davis, age 81, passed away peacefully at home on August 4, 2017 surrounded by his wife, four sons, and extended family at his side. Born October 18, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio, he relocated to Ashtabula with his parents, James P. and Louise R. (Kelz) Davis, making Ashtabula his forever home.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1960. Bill retired from Cleveland Electric Illustrated in 1993 after 28 years of service. As an active member of this community, he coached Saybrook Little League for 12 years and volunteered for the Saybrook Fire Department. He was a lifelong member of the Elks, VFW, and Moose Club.
He and his wife, Theresa Skufca Davis, the love of his life, were to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on August 10th.
Bill is survived by his wife, Theresa Davis; sons, Tom (Cindy) Davis, Roger (Mary) Davis, Rick (Lisa) Davis, and Jon (Colleen) Davis; six grandchildren, Tim Davis, Willie Davis, Josh (Leslie) Chorba, Chad Chorba, Brandon (Katie) Chorba, and Traci (Frank) Chudzik; 14 great-grandchildren; his brothers, George (Betty) Davis, Clifford (Skip) (Peggy) Davis; and sisters, Marylou Askey and Peggy Anastasia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, James, Gordon, and Joseph Davis.

Funeral Mass will be 12:00 Noon Wednesday, August 9th at the St. Joseph's Parrish of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 3312 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the Davis family requests memorial contributions be made to Bella Care Hospice, 1933 State Route 45, Austinburg, Ohio 44010.
