William's Story

William J. Faulkerson, 78, of Fuller Dr., Ashtabula, died Sunday, April 9th, unexpectedly in Conneaut. He was born Oct. 20, 1938, in Ashtabula, the son of Clarence and Gertrude (Schiedel) Faulkerson, and had been a lifetime area resident.
He was a member of the United States Army, serving in the 1950's. He was employed with Reliance Electric in Ashtabula for 32 years until his retirement.
He was a member of New Leaf United Methodist Church in Conneaut. He enjoyed yard work and taking care of his car. He was very friendly and loved helping people but most of all he enjoyed his grandsons.
Surviving him is his daughter Theresa (Christopher) Monda of Ashtabula; a son, William Faulkerson, Jr. of Altoona, Pa.; three grandsons, Joe Paulino, Anthony Monda and Nicholas Monda; four sisters, Dorothy (Harry, Sr.) Rohm of Saybrook, Margaret (Roger) Coy of Kingsville, Betty Noble of West Springfield, Pa., and Pat (Wayne) Baker of Ashtabula; a brother, Larry (Diane) Faulkerson of Kingsville and his companion, Virginia Hartman of Conneaut.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 42 years, Marie A. Faulkerson, who he is joining and whom preceded him in 2002; three sisters, Diane Faulkerson, Eleanor Ketron and Gertrude McLemore; and two brothers, Clarence Faulkerson, Jr., and Richard Faulkerson.
Funeral service will be Thursday, April 13th, at 11 a.m., at the Ashtabula Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS AND CREMATORY, 526 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville, with American Legion Post #103 conducting military rites.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions in his name can be made to New Leaf United Methodist Church, 110 Gateway Ave., Conneaut, Ohio 44030.
