William X. Lewis, 69, of Ashtabula, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 6, 2017.
Bill was born on January 18, 1948, in Cleveland, the son of Francis and Emily Benjamin Lewis. He graduated from James Ford Rhodes High School in the Class of 1966. Bill married the love of his life, Theresa Zupancic, on July 3, 1971, in Euclid. He retired from Premix, where he was an engineer and was President of the Premix Retiree's Association.
Bill's first love was photography, and he loved shooting water scenes, waterfalls, animals and landscapes. He was a lifelong learner of photography and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. Bill taught photography at the Ashtabula Arts Center and was President of the Geneva Camera Club. He also enjoyed traveling and looking for new places to take pictures. Bill also enjoyed watching sports and HGTV.
Mr. Lewis is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Theresa Lewis; daughters, Tracy (Patrick) Stevenson of Va., Michelle (Nathan) Bishop of Md., and Jacqueline (Michael Morosko) Lewis of Geneva; grandchildren, William, Jason, Emmalene, Elias and Simon; brother, Francis "Skip" Lewis; and a brother-in-law, Al Baker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Linda Baker.
A gathering of friends and family will be held Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 Prospect Rd., Ashtabula from 2-4 p.m., where a Celebration of Life will follow at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Bill may be given to Ashtabula County Medical Center, Cardiac Services, 2420 Lake Ave., Lewis Bldg., 2nd Floor, Ashtabula; or the Ashtabula Arts Center, 2928 W. 13th St., Ashtabula; or the APL, 5970 Green Rd., Ashtabula.
