ALBERT Mike E. DOERGE, Age 86, died September 17, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born July 23, 1932 in Cleveland, he lived in Eastlake, before moving to Montville in 1985. Mike was an avid golfer. He also enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and trips to Canada. He loved working out with friends at Spire in Geneva, taking his faithful companion Jupe, everywhere he went. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Mike was a Union Carpenter for 50 years and he proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his children Sue (Joe) Thrower of Montville, John Doerge of Geneva, June (Daniel) Boone of Seymour, IN and Terri (Joe) Cardaman of Montville, 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and his wife Lois, to whom he was married for 49 years, son Chuck Hill and grandson Gerald Joey Thrower.
The family will host a gathering at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (On Rt. 44, 500 south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon, Monday, September 24, 2018 from 6:00 8:00 PM.
