Aline Poythress, 77, of Port Republic, passed away, Friday, February 1, 2019 at her residence.
Mary was born in, Ashtabula, Ohio on July 29, 1941, a daughter of the late Laura (Sanders) and Charles Alva Clark.
She worked as a teacher and taught in many local school systems.
On August 3, 1975, she was united in marriage to James Robert Poythress, who preceded her in death on August 13, 2017.
Mary is survived by a son, David Poythress, of Port Republic.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Chuck Clark, of Louisiana.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Service in Grottoes, with Father Silvio Kaberia officiating.
