Alvin T. DeVore
Born January 18, 1926, in Ashtabula, a son of Thomas and Emma DeVore, Al served in the Navy during WW2, returning to graduate from Ashtabula H.S. In Dec., 1967, Al married Barbara Bleasdale and spent 51+ years together.
Al worked and retired from Rockwell Brake Plant after 33 years of service. He also worked part time for the Sheriff's Department as a marine patrolman on Lake Erie.
Al loved the water, getting his first boat at age 14. On weekends he'd be seen with Barb and his boys on Lake Erie, skiing, sailing and enjoying the lake together. Later in life, after moving to Florida, Al and Barb enjoyed having Barb's daughters and sons in law, their children, and grandchildren close, to enjoy and be with.
Al is survived by his wife Barb; sons Donald (Sharie) DeVore, Richard (Colleen) DeVore; step daughter Diana (Ralph) Campell, Cynthia Bragg; 7 grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; a brother and sister, Willard and Eva; son in law Paul Bragg; and great grandson Oliver DeVore.
Keeping with Al's wishes, no services will be held.
