Amelia Tulino (Millie) Obituary

Ashtabula, Ohio - Amelia (Millie) Tulino, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, at the remarkable age of 100. Born in Butler, Pennsylvania on February 231d,1925 to Anthony and Gaetana (Monaco) Frangona, Millie lived a life filled with faith, family, and service to others.

Millie began her career as a bookkeeper and secretary for Armco Steel Company and gave generously of her time as a Girl Scout leader, volunteer at the Butler Veterans Administration, and Butler Memorial Hospital. She also shared her love of music as a member of the Butler County Choral Group.

On August 28, 1954, Millie married her soulmate, Louis Tulino, in Ashtabula, Ohio. Together they built a beautiful life, raising four sons and creating a home that was always warm and welcoming. In addition to her devotion as a wife, homemaker, and mother, Millie continued her professional journey as secretary for the National Business Agent of the National Association of Letter Carriers and served as president of the Ladies Auxiliary for the same association.

Her passion for education led her to volunteer with the Ohio Reads program and at the Ashtabula County Municipal Center. A devout Catholic, Millie's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She served on the board of Catholic Charities, taught CCD for 35 years, participated in the parish council and RGIA program, was a Eucharistic minister, and worked in the church bingo kitchen. Her dedication to her parish and community was unwavering.

Above all, Millie cherished time spent with her family and friends. Her greatest joy came from being surrounded by her loved ones-her sons and daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren-sharing stories, laughter, and love.

Millie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lou, in 1990; her parents, Anthony and Gaetana; her brother, Joseph Frangona; and sisters Esther Frangona, Jean Mamula, and Dóra Dean. She is survived by her sons Pete

(Patty) Tulino, Doug (Susan) Tulino, Jon Tulino, and William Tulino; grandchildren Sara (Ryan) Harkins, Katie (Bill) Sturm, Lyndsey (Jerry) Orlando, Christina (Harrison) Smyth, Andrea (Bobby) DeGregoris, and Gianna (Stevie) Gombos; and great-grandchildren Jackson, Leo, Sophia Sturm, Natalie and Paulo Orlando, Joseph, Nicholas, Michael, Ava and Daniel Smyth, Vincent, Anthony James, Louis and Dominic DeGregoris, Christian and Thomas Gombos.

Millie's life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and devotion. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her warm heart, strong faith, and the countless lives she touched.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the incredible staff at Saybrook Landing for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness they showed to our mother. Each member of the team took a special interest in her well-being, and their dedication brought comfort and peace to our family. We are also deeply grateful to our dear friend, Jean Nerad, whose love and countless hours spent with mom were a true blessing and comfort beyond any measure. We will never forget the care, support, and friendship that surrounded our mother during her final chapter.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday Dec. 17 at ten A.M. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 at Guerriero Funeral Home. Condolences can be made at guerrierofuneralhome.com
