Geneva, Ohio - Anita Ellen Depoy née Thornton

Anita passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on May 29, 2025 at her home in Geneva, Ohio. Anita was born to David Thornton & Dorothy Thornton née Hayhurst of Painesville, Ohio on November 14, 1953. Anita graduated from Madison High School with the class of 1972. She later served as a bus driver for many years with the Madison School District. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, cooking for her family, being active with the Madison Senior Center, and helping others. She was giving and generous to everyone and in everything she did. She loved nothing more than her family. Of whom she is survived by her daughters Terri (Anton) Osredkar & Julianne (Aaron) Dowler; her grandchildren David (Savannah) Osredkar, Gabriel (Abi) Osredkar, Caleb Dowler, & Naomi Dowler; her great-grandchildren Opal Osredkar & Esmee Osredkar. She is preceded in death by her parents David & Dorothy. Above all, Anita was a follower of Jesus—she trusted that only He offered eternal hope through faith in Him. Her friends and family miss her greatly and are expectant to reunite with her someday.
