Conneaut, OH - Betty Ann (Cidila) Staley, 95, of Conneaut, passed away peacefully April 28, 2025, at Lake Pointe Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was born on July 3, 1929, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Mary (Spondike) and Michael Cidila.

Betty moved to Conneaut at the age of 12 where her mother met and married Joseph Kasto, they made their home on a farm located at 617 Dorman Rd. She was a graduate of Rowe High School in the year 1946.

In later years, she worked at the former Fisher's Big Wheel from the year it opened in 1973 until closing in 1993, which were some of the best times of her life.

After her retirement, she loved to go on road trips with her son Ron in his semi-truck along with her little dog Paco. She had many fun tales to talk about their many trips.

Betty also welcomed several people into her home to live there while they were going through hardships of their own. Everyone that had the opportunity to meet Betty loved her kind and giving nature.

She enjoyed going to the many sporting events of her grandchildren when possible and enjoyed all those who came to visit her at the nursing home.

She is survived by her daughter Sandi (Michael Zalewski) Armeni; granddaughter Julie (Ryan) McEndree; great grandsons Trevor (Michaela Goodwill) Armeni, and Kolton Stern; and great granddaughter Isabelle Stern.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Ronald Eldred; and grandson Jacob Armeni.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and caretakers of Lake Pointe Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and also Hospice of the Western Reserve for the loving care that she received.

At Betty's request, there will be no services.

Contributions may be made in Betty's memory to Hospice of the Western Reserve. Envelopes will be available at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St, Conneaut, which is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
