Charles "Chuck" E. Cotter of Rome, Ohio, passed away on October 9, 2020 at UH Geauga Medical Center. He was born on September 12, 1949 in Oakland, California to Carol (Dehn) Cotter and the late Everett Cotter.

On August 17, 1991, Chuck married Kathleen M (Sparks) Cotter. He was a wonderful father to Daniel "Tig" Cotter, Michele Reksten, Chris (Erin) Taylor, Leanne (Jim) Warren. He was also a proud grandfather and great-grandfather.

Chuck grew up in California with six siblings. Linda Cotter (Clare "Bud") Simpson, James (Sue) Cotter, John (Sharon) Cotter, Robert (DeeDee) Cotter. He also had a half-sister, Sandra Irons. Chuck is reunited in heaven with brothers Wm. Michael and Mark.

After moving to Ohio, Chuck started his career as a high school teacher. From there he moved to information technology and spent the last ten years of his working career as vice president of IT for Meyer Products.

Chuck was a jack of all trades who could fix anything or create what was needed for the job. He enjoyed the outdoors. Kayaking, riding his 4 wheeler through the woods and vacationing at the beach in North Carolina were some of his favorite activities. He held family, nature, and animals, especially his dogs, closest to his heart.
