Charlotte Ann Moodt Obituary

Charlotte A. Moodt, age 86, of Orwell, Ohio, died peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, February 28 at Geauga Hospital. Charlotte was born Sept. 20, 1938 in Warren, Ohio, and she was the daughter of Francis H. and Evelyn M. Hill Squibbs. She was a graduate of Grand Valley High School and retired after 26 years from Midway Pontiac where she was employed as a warranty administrator. Charlotte married the love of her life, George T. Moodt, on Sept. 19th, 1964. She was also one of the founding members of the Orwell Arsonettes for the Orwell Fire Department, and was a member of the Orwell United Methodist Church.

Charlotte enjoyed her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed feeding the birds, talking to her friends, and going for car rides. Charlotte is survived by her four children; Earl K. (Janet) Moodt of Chardon, Linda A. Bradley (Larry VanHorn) of Copley, Carl T. (Lisa) Moodt of Windsor and Lowell G. (Tammy) Moodt of Orwell. She has 7 grandchildren; Ben (Alison) Bradley, Jason Moodt, Heather Moodt, Robyn (Matt) Hunter, Adam (Alli) Moodt, Matthew (Shar) Moodt, and Megan (Brandon) Yauger. She also has 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, siblings Howard Squibbs and Phyllis DeMattia. Per Charlotte's request, the family will have a private burial of her ashes at the Orwell North Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve or the Orwell United Methodist Church.
