Connie Engelmann Obituary

Athens, Ohio - On December 1, 2025, after a valiant fight for her life, our mother, sister, and daughter Connie lost her battle and succumbed to injuries sustained after an automobile accident on the evening of June 11th, 2025.

Connie grew up in Ashtabula, Ohio, and graduated from St. John high school. The most important things in the world to Connie were her three boys. She was more proud of them than anything in her life. She loved her extended family and having get togethers.

Connie enjoyed crafting and over the years made many wreaths, ornaments and holiday decorations. She was a huge fan of Ohio sports - with her current favorite being The Bengals. More importantly she loved watching Joe Burrow, who she followed through his high school, college, and professional career.

Connie is survived by her three sons, Jake, Nick and David (Makayla) Engelmann; her mother, Marge Shook; her sister, Kathy Norris; and her brothers, Gino (Joanne) and David Norris (Charlotte DiDonato), all of Athens. Also surviving are granddaughters, Vena and Regina.

She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Norris; stepfather, Ronald Shook; stepmother, Fay Celeste; paternal grandparents, Maggie and Hank Norris; and maternal grandparents, Kate and Mac McDowell.

Mass will be said Saturday December 20, 2025 at 12:00 noon St. Paul's Catholic Church, 38 North College St., Athens Ohio. A celebration of life will be held March 28, 2026
