Craig M. Plats, 51, passed away unexpectedly on December 18, 2024 at Walden Residential Center in Geneva.




He was born on January 15, 1973 in Ashtabula, the son of Charlie and Beulah "Cis" (Jackson) Plats.




Craig's journey began at Happy Hearts Academy, where he started classes at just two years old. After his graduation, he continued to grow at the MR/DD workshop for many years. Craig enjoyed the comfort of music, as well as the love of his family. For many years, Craig was a resident of Walden Residential, a place that immediately became his true home. There, he found a sense of community and happiness that enriched his life. His presence brought light and joy to those around him, and his memory will forever be treasured by all who knew him.




He is survived by his father, Charlie Plats; brother, Charles Plats, Jr.; niece, Brianna; nephew, Shane; he also has four great nieces and nephews.




He was preceded in death by his mother, Beulah "Cis" Plats.




Memorials may be made to the Conneaut Fish & Game Club, 80 Keefus Rd, Conneaut, OH 44030.
