Riverside, CA - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Curtis Edy, of Riverside, California, on March 14, 2026.

Born in Ashtabula, Ohio. He relocated to southern California after graduating high school in 1982.

Danny lived a fulfilling life. He especially enjoyed attending live concerts, traveling, buying and selling things and expanding his beautiful backyard oasis. He also had a lifelong love of mechanics and electronics. It all began as a young boy, building kits from Radio Shack and taking things apart to see how they worked.

In his younger years Danny loved driving fast cars, motorcycle riding, skiing, working out and hanging out with friends at the river.

As a friend to many, Danny was sharp witted, perceptive and was an exceptional listener. He had a unique bond with each person in his life.

At the age of 24 he was given the challenge of his lifetime when he had an accident that left him with paralysis. Not letting his disability define him, He led a fulfilling life beyond what most able-bodied people could hope for.

Danny is survived by his sweetheart Joanne Monroe, of Jurupa Valley, CA; father Ronald Edy, of Geneva, OH; sister Leah, (Tommy) Phillipps, of Camden, SC; sister Denise Edy, of Madison, OH; Stepfather Charles Bruno of Jurupa Valley, CA; many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins of Northeast OH, as well as many close friends of CA.

He was preceded in death by his Mother Florence Louise (Zalimeni) Bruno.

A Celebration of Life for Danny will be held June 7, 2026 at Doubletree by Hilton in Claremont, CA. Additionally, a Celebration of Life is set for June 27, 2026 at 2pm, Geneva United Methodist Church.
