Deborah Colin Persinger of Whitehouse, Ohio, passed away on May 29, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Deborah was born on July 25, 1953 in Ashtabula, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Jay and Theresa (Reynolds) Colin and graduated from high school in 1971.

Deborah married the love of her life Stephen Persinger on July 1, 1978 and they began their wonderful journey together. Deborah and Stephen enjoyed 45 years of marriage. They spent much of their time with their children, granddaughters, family, friends, and many golden retrievers.

Deborah always made those around her happier with her infectious sense of humor and kind heart. She was a devoted wife, mother, and mother-in-law, but was especially devoted to her precious granddaughters.

Deborah worked as a travel agent for many years and was a loyal Cleveland sports fan. Deborah enjoyed supporting her sons in their numerous athletic events growing up. She was always their number one cheerleader.

Deborah is survived by her husband Stephen, her son Jay (Mariah) of Whitehouse, Ohio, her son Matthew (Kelly) of Perrysburg, Ohio, her sister Jayne Ann (Robert) Currie of Ashtabula, Ohio, her brother E.G. (Joann) Colin of the Villages, Florida, her sister-in-law Virginia (Dean) Darrah of Kent, Ohio, her sister-in-law Lisa Persinger of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, her granddaughters Mackayla and Avery Persinger, as well as many nieces and nephews who she loved so very much.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Robert Persinger.

Visitation will be held Tuesday June 4, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 6603 Providence St., Whitehouse, Ohio.

A funeral mass will be held Wednesday June 5, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint John XXIII, 24250 N. Dixie Hwy. Perrysburg, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Deborah's name to VeloSano, 9500 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44195. This organization contributes 100% of donations to funding lifesaving cancer research at The Cleveland Clinic.
