Emil Pustotnik, age 73, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017, at University Hospital in Cleveland.

He was born on Oct. 18, 1943, in Ljubljana, Yugoslavia, to Frank and Paula (Grill) Pustotnik. He graduated High School from Borromeo Seminary in Wickliffe, Ohio. He attended John Carroll University and was in the first class to graduate from Cleveland State University. Emil married Sandra Crozier on July 8, 1967, at Immaculate Conception Church in Madison.

Emil worked at True Temper in Geneva and was the owner of Compass Motors in Geneva and Compass Plumbing Services.

He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Geneva.

He enjoyed his yearly fishing trips to Canada with family and friends. He also enjoyed his golfing trips in February to Florida and in October to Tennessee.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra; son, Paul Michael; and daughter, Christina (Brett) Bellas; grandchildren, Brett Jr., and twins, Audrey and Aurora; sister, Pauline Coker; niece, Kristen Aldich; nephew John; and many cousins from Slovenia.

He was preceded in death by his parents; older brother, Francis; infant son, Alexander; and many aunts and uncles in Slovenia.

Services will be handled at a later date.
