Conneaut, OH - Frances "Jean" Woods, 88, of Conneaut, passed away Wednesday morning, July 9, 2025 at UH Geauga Medical Center, Chardon, OH. She was born May 9, 1937 in Erie, PA, the daughter of Edward and Nora (Enlich) Baker.

Jean graduated from Conneaut High School, Class of 1955, and worked for General Electric and as a waitress at the Venice Yacht Club. She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish/St. Frances Cabrini, where she was a liturgical minister and member of the environmental committee for Corpus Chrisi Parish.

Jean volunteered at the Conneaut Thrift Shop, volunteered for the Conneaut D-Day Reenactment event, was a member of the Garden Club, Red Hat Society, and enjoyed playing cards with friends, and having family celebrations including going to wineries with family.

Survivors include her daughter Beth A. (Joseph) Drakes of Girard, PA; son Gregory (Georgia) Woods of Conneaut; and grandchildren Kyle and Eric Woods, both of Conneaut; and her cousin "sister" Joan (Dan) Mowry of Greenville, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM, Friday, July 18, 2025, at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 744 Mill St., Conneaut, with Father Philip Miller officiating. Burial will be held in St. Michael Cemetery, Greenville, PA.

Contributions may be made to Corpus Christi Parish or Conneaut Hospital Thrift Shop Scholarship Fund. Envelopes will be available at the church service and also at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, has been entrusted with arrangements.
