Ashtabula, OH - Howard P. Williams, 91, of Ashtabula, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025 at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, TN. He was born April 20, 1934 in Conneaut, the son of Howard M. and Rose T. (Minch) Williams.
Howard was a member of the Army National Guard and worked as an engineer for Conrail retiring after 41 years. After his retirement, he drove bus for Speech and Hearing in Ashtabula, and owned Williams Family Restaurant and Bakery and the glass shop in Amboy.
He was an avid sailor and fisherman and loved sailing, fishing, traveling in his RV, building gazebos, tinkering with many things, had a love for Collies and leaves behind his trusty companion Beau.
Survivors include his children Paul Williams of PA, Mike Williams of OH, Steve (Spring) Williams of IN, Philis (Carl) Williams of PA, Norman (Jamie) Loomis of NC, Ann (Ralph) Gromley of TN, Trudy Loomis of OH, Julie (Heath) Edwards of VA, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 31 years Betty Williams in 2010, and sisters Betty Phillips and Barbara Simpson.
Graveside service will be 3:00 PM, Friday, October 3, 2025 in Greenlawn Mausoleum, Rt. 20, N. Kingsville, OH with Rev. Tim Kraus officiating.
Memorials contributions may be made to the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League, 5970 Green Rd., Ashtabula, OH 44004. Envelopes will be available at the service and at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, which has been entrusted with arrangements.
