Ashtabula, OH - Jacqulyn L. "Jackie" McBride, 86, of Ashtabula, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025 at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. She was born February 3, 1939 in Conneaut, OH, the daughter of Chester and Marian (Gollmer) Lowery.

Jackie married the love of her life Donald McBride on February 14, 1957. Jackie Pursued her education and worked for Ashtabula County Head Start for many years. She ended her working career by being a home health worker into her seventies.

She enjoyed working on antique cars with her husband, reading, sewing, crocheting, singing with the Cherry Hill Gang, and Sweet Adelines, socializing at the senior center, and playing cards with her caretakers. She would giggle when caught cheating.

Survivors include her sons Sean (Diane) McBride of Ashtabula, and Eric McBride of Conneaut; sisters Ruth (Frank) Connell of Evans City, PA, Darlene (Ronald) Hicks of Conneaut; brothers Robert (Charlotte) Lowery of Crossingville, PA, and Dale (Linda) Langdon of Pierpont; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Donald; sisters Carol Bowers, Audrey Frost, Betty Phillips, Barb Fugate, Elaine Barnum, and Dorothy Mitchell; and brother John Lowery.

Celebration of life will be 7:00PM, Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, with visitation from 5:00 PM until the time of the service.

Contributions may be made in Jackie's memory to Ashtabula Senior Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
