Chardon, Ohio - In Loving Memory of Janette Marie Sommer

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Janette, on June 10th, 2026, at the age of 66 after battling a recent illness.

Born December 7, 1959, in Ashtabula, Ohio, Janette was the daughter of the late Max and Helen (Starzynski) Obhof. A graduate of Geneva High School, she was employed with De Nora holding various positions throughout her 36yr. career.

Janette was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose love knew no bounds. She enjoyed gardening, canning, hosting family and friends and just being present in life.

She is survived by her children Dustin and Melody Sommer, Josh and Rachael Sommer, grandchildren Presley, Avett, Addison, Rowen, partner of many years Ken Townsend and many other family members and friends who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents Max and Helen Obhof and brothers Jerry and Donald Obhof. Her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support will remain in our hearts forever.
