Janice LaRae O'Dell Obituary
Janice LaRae O'Dell (nee Marcomb), 77, of Rock Creek, OH went to be with the Lord on Sunday afternoon, October 16, 2022 at home while surrounded by her family. She was born in Tomahawk, Wisconsin on January 16th, 1945 to the late Steve and Dawn (Lawrence) Marcomb. Janice later married the love of her life and best friend, Roger O'Dell on November 2, 1963.
Janice was a kind, humble and gentle soul who loved people. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, watching old movies, collecting treasures, spending time with her pets, and most of all spending time with her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. A quote from her senior yearbook which meant a lot to her throughout the years stated "Quiet, but nice to know" and those that had the privilege of knowing her would agree that those few words described her perfectly.
Janice will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 59 years, Roger; children, Brian (Kanda) O'Dell, Ronald (Michele) O'Dell, Terri Lynn (Brian) Freshwater, Michael Lee (Jessica) O'Dell; grandchildren, Kyle (Valerie) O'Dell, Emily (Joshua) Harley, Judy LaRae (John Dickey) O'Dell, Anthony (Courtney) O'Dell, Briana (Gary) Mitchell, Sophie Marie Freshwater, Rylee LaRae O'Dell, Cayla Driscoll, Nicole Phillips, J.J. Phillips; great-grandchildren, Landon, Connor, Jamie, Braiden, CayLee, Logan, Gunner, Paisleigh, Gabriella; brothers, Steve (Karen) Marcomb, Frankie (Melissa) Marcomb; sister, Barbara Pike; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Janice is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Charlie and David Marcomb.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jodi with Hospice of Western Reserve; she was an angel during our mother's last hours.
