Jennifer Carpenter Obituary

Dorset, OH - Jennifer Carpenter, 54, of Dorset, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. She was born on August 28, 1971, in Painesville, OH, the daughter of Jay and Ann (Fobes) Sutch.

Jennifer worked as a cook at Braden Middle School, a role she embraced with pride and devotion. She loved greeting the students each day and took joy in being a part of their lives. Outside of work, Jennifer found happiness in baking, cooking for family and friends, gardening, painting ceramics, and scrapbooking. She also had a special fondness for collecting dolphin figurines, a reflection of her gentle spirit and kind heart.

Above all, Jennifer cherished time spent with her daughter and grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her heart remained forever connected to her late husband, Bernie, and some of her most treasured memories were made riding beside him on their Harleys exploring new places and savoring the freedom of the open road together.

Jennifer is survived by her mother Ann Sutch of Jefferson, OH; her daughter, Jessica (Dan) Pocci of Roaming Shores, OH; her brothers, Jeremy (Faith) Sutch of Austinburg, OH and Jason Sutch of North Folk, VA; her sister Julia (Chris Salyers) Sutch of Rock Creek, OH; her grandchildren, Michael and Emma Pocci; and her nephews, Joshua (Riannon) Sutch, Dustin, and Gabriel Salyers.

She was preceded in death by her father and her beloved husband, Bernard "Bernie" Carpenter.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial Contributions can be made to her family.
