Wayne township, OH - John F. Bilek, age 88, of Wayne township, OH, died Monday, December 8, 2025 at Ashtabula Regional Medical Center in Ashtabula,OH.

He was born May 6, 1937, in Warren, OH, the son of John A. and Florence M. (Bowen) Bilek. John was a 1955 graduate of Williamsfield School and was a lifetime Wayne township resident. He owned and operated a dairy farm for over 50 years in Wayne. He was also employed by Republic Steel in Niles for several years. John married Beverly J. (Bird) on October 17, 1959.

In his retirement years, John had a transportation service for the Amish community. He served as a Wayne township trustee for 28 years; and served on the Ashtabula County Farm Bureau. He earned his private pilot license and enjoyed his time flying.

He is survived by his 2 sons, Dennis J. Bilek of Wayne township, and Jim A. (Donna) Bilek of Wayne township; his sister, Donna McNeil of Doylestown, OH; his 2 sister-in-laws, Barbara Waiter and June (Don) Morey; his 6 grandchildren, Crystal Braessler, Samantha Bilek, David Henshaw, D.J. Bilek, Alex Bilek, and Hannah (Ethan) Pawlowski. He also leaves behind 2 step-grandchildren, Bridgette and Jennifer, along with numerous great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Beverly J. Bilek, on Feb. 19, 2024.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, December 11, 2025 from 10:30 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 Noon at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect St.,Andover, OH, with Pastor William Siekkinen officiating.
