I worked with John at the engineers office. My favorite memory of John was after my first hip replacement when I was still in the hospital. I talkings a walk and had stopped for a rest near the nurses station. Well along cane John and asked me what I was doing and I replied taking a break. So he picked me up and carried me back to my room (At the time I weighed in the neighborhood of 300 lbs.) like it was nothing.
John was a great man and even a greater friend. Rest in the arms of JESUS my friend.
