Kelloggsville, OH - Joseph W. Simak , age 76, of Kelloggsville, OH, passed away unexpectedly at UH Geauga Medical Center on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

Joe was born April 12, 1949, in Conneaut, OH to the late Joseph E. and Marilyn J. Simak. He was raised in Monroe Township. Joe graduated from Conneaut High School in 1967, where he lettered in wrestling. After high school, Joe was drafted into the military. He was a proud Army veteran, serving a tour in Pleiku, Vietnam as a Spec-5 platoon leader. Joe was employed at R.W. Sidley's for over 30 years before retiring. He was a member of the VFW, The American Legion Cowle Post #151, Fraternal Order of Eagles #408, and the Conneaut Moose Lodge 472.

Joe was a proud father and Papa. He talked about his family to anyone who would listen. Joe was a member of Kelloggsville Church of the Nazarene. He loved Jesus, he loved people, and he loved to laugh. He was a friend to all, a music connoisseur, and a Cleveland sports enthusiast.

Joe is survived by his fiancé of 24 years, Toni Cramblit; children, Jodi Simak-Cronk and Jeremy (Christa) Simak; grandchildren, Breelyn, Cain, Ryker, Keatyn, Landon, Natalie, Abigail, Avery, Adeline, Donte and Dezrae; great-grandchildren, Skilyr Grace, Milani, and Messiah; brother, Jon (Debbie) Simak; sister, Marti (Bob) Picard, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph E. and Marilyn J. Simak; granddaughter Skilyr Hicks; and great-granddaughter Everleigh Hicks.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 6, 2025 at the Kelloggsville Church of the Nazarene, 4841 Bushnell Rd., Conneaut, OH.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Friday, December 5, 2025 at the Kelloggsville Church of the Nazarene.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kelloggsville Church of the Nazarene, 4841 Bushnell Rd., Conneaut, OH 44030 or Feed Our Vets, 433 Center Street, Ashtabula, OH 44004.
