Kathryn A. (Bassett) Owen, age 89, of Richmond Heights, died Monday, May 15, 2017, at University Hospital, Richmond Heights, Ohio.

She was born September 11, 1927, in Cleveland. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Wickliffe, and a former member of St. Margaret Mary, South Euclid; Mother of Sorrows, Ashtabula; and St. Gabriel, Concord.

Survivors include her children, Joseph P. Owen, Ellen M. (Stephen) DiPippo, Ann E. (Bruce) Johnson, Matthew C. (Valerie) Owen and Paul M. (Lisa) Owen; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Jane C. Uebbing.

Preceding Kathryn in death is her husband of 48 years, Joseph P. Owen; grandson, Christopher F. Johnson; parents, Raymond E. and Catherine M. Bassett; and sister: Mary Elizabeth Nieberding.

The funeral mass will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, 1730 Mt. Carmel Dr., Wickliffe. The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m., Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at the church. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
