Keith Warren "Skip" Halleen Obituary

Keith "Skip" Halleen, 85, of Chardon, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at David Simpson Hospice House in Euclid. Born July 16, 1936 in Ashtabula, he was the only son of the late Richard and Geraldine (nee: McCool) Halleen.

After finishing his service in the National Guard, he worked as a union plumber (Local 55 Cleveland) for over 35 years. The jobs he was most proud of included what is formerly known as Jacobs Field, the Cleveland Browns Stadium and the Perry Nuclear Power Plant.

He showed incredible grit and compassion in every aspect of his life. Keith put all he had into what he did and wasn't afraid to tell it like it is. He loved Ohio sports, nature and beer. But more than anything he loved being around family.

He was a devoted father to four: Lori Sorley (nee: Halleen), Scott (Kwangmi) Halleen, Paul Halleen and Ronald (Rebecca) Halleen. A loving grandfather to eight: Joshua, Amanda, Katie, Corwin, Heather, Brandon, Ava and Wyatt. An adoring great-grandfather to nine. A caring uncle to many and a loyal friend to many others.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years Roberta "Bobbie" Halleen (nee: Close).

Family and friends are invited to say a final goodbye to Skip on Monday, November 15 from 5-8pm with a Celebration of Life Tuesday, November 16, at 11 am at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon. Burial will follow at Hambden Township Cemetery.
