Born on April 3, 1948, in Princeton, West Virginia, Linda was the beloved daughter of Samuel and Laura (Bridgeman) Ball.
She graduated from Pymatuning Valley High School in 1966, carrying forward a spirit of curiosity and grace that defined her journey.
On June 18, 1966, she entered into a devoted union with Rodger F. York, her loving husband of 59 years, a marriage woven with enduring tenderness, shared laughter, and the quiet joys of a richly blessed life. Together, they were blessed with two children who brought immeasurable pride and joy into their world, creating a legacy of unwavering family bonds and the most cherished memories.
Linda's professional path spanned 33 dedicated years at Premix, where her reliability and gentle demeanor made her an indispensable pillar among colleagues, always ready with a kind word or steady hand.
Her faith was the gentle anchor of her existence, as a devoted member of the Andover Christian Church, where she poured her heart into every committee and act of service. With unconditional love that touched all who crossed her path, Linda embodied a rare and beautiful compassion, leaving behind a tapestry of memories that will forever warm the lives she graced.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Rodger; her children, Rodger G. York and Lisa (Peter) Barton; her grandchildren, Youssif, Jacob, and Angel Mahjoub; and her step-grandchildren, Brennan, Brooke, and Bridget Barton. Linda is also survived by her siblings: Roger (Shirley) Ball, David (Lynn) Ball, Johnny (Kelly) Ball, Allen Ball, Marvin Ball, Phyllis Ball-Ritchey, and Christine (Bob) Fraser.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Joe, Jerry, Donald, Cecil, and Ralph
.Funeral services to celebrate Linda's extraordinary life will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Andover Christian Church, 181 S. Main Street, Andover, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Andover Christian Church.
