ASHTABULA, OH - ASHTABULA - Marjorie Ann Calvert, 90, passed away September 23, 2025, at Meadow Falls (The Lantern) Of Saybrook.
She was born on September 19, 1935, in Jefferson, Ohio, the daughter of Lewis and Margaret (McMillin) Burlingame.
Marjorie graduated from Austinburg High School in 1953. On January 24, 1954, she married Richard L Calvert; theirs was a marriage blessed with love, friendship, devotion and two children. Together Richard and Marjorie were blessed with the most precious memories.
She was a past member of a Dorset Methodist Church, and the Lenox Christian Fellowship Church; and she was on the Dorset Volunteer Fire Department woman's auxiliary. Marjorie enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, her flower gardens, traveling, motorcycling, snowmobiling, and was active leader in Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. She was blessed to be a stay-at-home Mom, and she dedicated her life to her family.
She survived by her loving family; her daughter, Linda Bauwin, her son, Richard (Arawana) Calvert, Jr., her grandson, Jason Bauwin, and many step grandchildren and great grandchildren; she was also survived by her sister-in-law Beverly Burlingame.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, her son-in-law Jay Bauwin, and her siblings: Dora Jean in infancy, Wanita, Doris, Harry, Beverly, Suzie, Edward, and Louis; and her sister-in-law Mary Herpy, who she was very close with.
Funeral services will be held for on Monday, September 29, 2025, at the Fleming- Billman Funeral Home, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, OH. Calling hours will be held from 10:00-11-00, with her funeral services starting at 11:00. Burial will follow in the Dorset Cemetery
The family would like to give special thanks to the entire staff of the Meadow Falls (The Lantern) of Saybrook. They treated their mother with the utmost respect and provided her with a loving and caring place to make her home. They were amazing every step of the way, and the family will be forever grateful.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve or the Lenox Christian Fellowship Church.
