Willoughby, Ohio - Mark A. Monda, age 72, passed away May 27, 2026, after a brief illness. He was born December 16, 1953, in Ashtabula, Ohio.

Mark worked in the plastics manufacturing industry and was VP Operations for Willis Industries and Plant Manager at PET processors and others over his 40-year career.

Mark enjoyed caring for his pets and was a supporter of the Humane Society. He enjoyed relaxing in his rocking chair while watching action films and scaring his wife with horror movies. Mark's favorite time of the year was Christmas, and he made sure the house was completely decorated by December 1st every year.

Mark is survived by his wife, Kathy Monda; daughters, Gina Monda and Melodi (Larry) Gross; stepdaughters, Allison Werman, Lauren Shunkwiler and Dana Shunkwiler; brothers

Danny (Nancy) Monda and Chris (Theresa) Monda and sister Karen (Larry) Arcaro.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Monda and Rita (Notarianni) Monda.

He was a member of St. Mary Church in Painesville.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 242 North State Street, Painesville, Ohio.
