Marlyn Cantini, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on December 1, 2024 at the age of 92. Born on June 16, 1932 in Monessen, PA, Marlyn was a woman of exceptional strength, love, and dedication. These qualities defined her life and touched the lives of those who knew her. Marlyn was the matriarch of the Cantini family, and she leaves behind a legacy of unwavering commitment to her family and community. Marlyn took great pride in supporting her family's dreams, always offering a guiding hand and steady encouragement. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Cantini, with whom she opened Cantini's Village Market in 1977. Following her husband's death, Marlyn ran Cantini's Village Market, a cornerstone of the Rock Creek community, with her son, Richard. Marlyn is survived by her two children, Marla McKenna and Richard Cantini (wife, Paige Cantini); her four grandchildren, Katelyn Hagen (husband, Jon Hagen), Jonathan McKenna (wife, Kimberlynn McKenna), Sage Cantini, and Seve Cantini; and her two great-grandchildren, Madelyn Hagen and Emma Hagen. She was also a dear sister to Kenneth Ayers and Adele Fontanelli, who preceded her in death. Private services will be held at Crown Hill Burial Park.
