Ashtabula, Ohio - Mary Presciano, 98, of Ashtabula, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at UH-Geneva Hospital.

She was born on May 27, 1927, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Florence (Colucci) Ferritto, Sr. A lifelong resident of the area, Mary was a graduate of Ashtabula High School. On April 30, 1948, she married the love of her life, Joseph Presciano, and together they shared many devoted years of marriage.

Mary was employed at Gray Drug Store for many years before her retirement. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Mission Church, later known as Our Lady of Peace, St. Joseph Church. Mary was also active in the Child Conservation League and the Elks Club Ladies Auxiliary.

In her free time, Mary was an avid reader who loved baking and birdwatching, especially enjoying the sight of cardinals visiting her feeders. She was one of the longest-standing residents of The Sanctuary in Geneva, where she truly thrived. During her time there, Mary was always ready to greet and assist fellow residents. Known for her outgoing personality and warm spirit, she especially looked forward to Bingo, one of her favorite activities.

Mary is survived by her beloved daughters, Kathy (Paul Vincent) Presciano and Debra (James) LaPierre, aunt Gloria Ferrito, as well as many cherished step grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, in 2012, and by her siblings, Carmel Sardella, Benjamin Ferritto, Jr., and Thomas Ferritto.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 11AM at Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula, Ohio with Rev. Father Connor Hetzel, presiding. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 10AM until the time of services at 11AM.
