New Lyme Township, OH - Melvin Edward Marrison, 88, of New Lyme Township, Ohio, passed away at home surrounded by his family on June 8, 2026.
He was born on July 13, 1937, in New Lyme, Ohio, to the late Levi and Clara (Viton) Marrison. He married Evelyn (Zaebst) Marrison on February 14, 1960.
Melvin was a graduate of Deming High School, Class of 1955. He spent much of his life as a dairy farmer and also worked for the township and county highway department. He was an active member of the Ashtabula County Antique Engine Club and enjoyed preserving the area's agricultural heritage.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Zaebst; his children, Richard Marrison, Joanne (Bob) Fyfe, William Marrison, and April (Charlie) Galownia; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by family members who passed before him.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Baumgardner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Andover Chapel, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio.
Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in Cherry Valley Cemetery.
