Michele Lynn Branham Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sister, Michele Lynn Branham, age 57 of Geneva, OH. Michele passed away peacefully at her sister's home surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle against cancer. She was the daughter of Michael (Mick) and Jeannette (Szewczyk) Branham and was a 1985 graduate of Geneva High School. After graduating from high school, Michele went on to pursue her degree in Nursing and graduated from the University of Cincinnati with her BA in Nursing. After getting her RN license, Michele went on to work in many hospitals around the country. She did her internship at the Mayo Clinic in MN, then decided to be a traveling nurse and work in various hospitals in Arizona, Utah, North Carolina, Tennessee and Ohio, with her last nursing job being at Fairview Hospital working in the NICU department. Her love for nursing rubbed off on all who worked with her and even those who didn't.

Michele had an adventurous spirit, a kind and generous heart and a smile that would light up a room. She loved to travel, go hiking, take a drive to see where she would end up, spend her days with her friends or just curl up with a good movie and a good book to read. She was loved by all and will be missed dearly by all that knew her.

She is survived by her sister Mary Beth (Dave) Desmarais of Geneva, brothers Michael Branham of Andover, OH and Donald (Georgette) Branham of South Carolina; her nieces Mikayla Branham and Snow Crookman; her nephews, Donovan (Brianna) Branham, Justin Desmarais and Josh Desmarais.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Michael (Mick) and Jeannette Branham, her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Per Michele's wishes, she will be cremated and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Assumption Church, 30 Lockwood Street, Geneva, Ohio on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 10:00am. After Mass, interment will be in Trumbull Township Cemetery with a celebration of life and fellowship luncheon following at the church hall.
