Ashtabula, OH - Nanette (Altier) Nappi passed away in her sleep on September 10, 2024, at the age of 70, in her home in Ashtabula, Ohio.

She was born on September 30, 1953 in Elyria to the late Dr. Samuel and Marilynn (Sheline) Altier.

Nanette attended St. John's for high school, but had a wonderful senior year matriculating from Harbor High School in 1971. She subsequently graduated from Kent State University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and later earned her Master of Science in Nursing from University of North Carolina Greensboro. A natural caretaker, Nanette dedicated herself not only to her patients but also to her family. Throughout her life, she wore many hats with over 50 years of a career in nursing, but her last formal position was at Cleveland Clinic as a cardiac nurse, retiring in 2020.

Nanette is survived by her husband, Thomas Nappi, whom she married on December 23, 2010; daughters, Hilary (James Ferron) Fulp, and Dr. Carlynn (Benjamin Wiant) Fulp, and grandsons Ellis Ferron and Samuel Wiant; step daughter, Heather (Ray) Coppinger; and siblings, Renee (Tom) Sparks, Rodger (Cindy) Altier, Keith (Maureen) Altier, Samuel (Sharon) Altier II, John Altier, Lisette (Barry) Shick, and Christopher Altier.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 14th, at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 30 Lockwood St, Geneva. Family only will follow for burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Nanette's memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
