Nicholas A. Zalimeni Obituary

Ashtabula, Ohio - Nicholas A. Zalimeni, Sr., age 87, of Ashtabula, Ohio peacefully passed away on September 24, 2025, surrounded by Family. Nick was born on December 29, 1937 in Ashtabula, Ohio, Son of the late Nicholas Dominic Zalimeni and Angelina Morell Zalimeni. He was a graduate of Ashtabula High School and went on to serve in the Ohio National Guard where he became a Medic.

He is survived by the love of his life, Marion Louise (Spore) Zalimeni, who he was married to for 65 years. His Children: Gail Zalimeni Brooks (Gordon) of Albany, Ohio and Nicholas Anthony Zalimeni, Jr. (Mark) of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. His two Grandchildren: Preston Anthony Brooks (Allie) of Anna, Ohio and Dr. Nicole Elizabeth Brooks of Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

He was employed by the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company for 38 years and retired as a Certified Boiler Operator at age 55. Nick loved to go hunting, fishing, and camping with his Family and Friends. Throughout his lifetime, Nick and Marion traveled all over the United States and spent the winter months in Spring Hill, Florida.

Nick was a Parishioner at Mother of Sorrows Church and a Member of the Ashtabula Rod & Gun Club.
