Pastor Daniel P. Wilson, age 67 of Magnolia passed away Sunday October 24, 2021, in the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital. He was born November 4, 1953, in Painesville, OH to the late Donald and Ann (Nelson) Wilson.
He was a 1972 graduate of Chardon High School, received his bachelor's degree from Baldwin Wallace University and his Master's in Divinity from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio.
Daniel retired from the United Methodist East Ohio Conference where he served as clergy for 29 years, serving numerous churches throughout Ohio. He was an avid chess player.
He is preceded in death by one brother, Don Wilson; one niece, Jamie Barnes; brother-in-law, Jim Barnes.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Christine A. (Mills) to whom he was married 35 years; two children, William O. Sr. (Chelsey) Wilson and Charles Wilson; three grandchildren, Elainagh, William O. Jr. and Mary Wilson; two sisters, Pat Barnes and Barb (Gus) Saikaly; one brother, Steve (Nanette) Wilson; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A celebration of Daniel's life will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 11:00am in the Cherry Valley United Methodist Church at 5218 OH193, Dorset, OH 44032. Condolences or fond memories may be shared online at www.sandersfuneralhomes.com.
