Funeral Services for Peter Sawicki will be held 9:30 a.m., Friday, June 10th, at the KUBINA-YUHASZ FUNERAL HOME, 5925 Market St., Boardman, Ohio, and at 10 a.m. in St. Dominic Church, Youngstown. Formerly of Youngstown, Mr. Sawicki, age 77, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Greenbriar Healthcare Center in Boardman. Peter was born in Europe, in Krakow, Poland, on April 22, 1934, a son of Frank and Janina Domelewski Sawicki. A Veteran, he served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was employed as a baker for the Schwebel Baking Company for fifty-six years. He belonged to both the Conneaut Boat Club and the Lake Erie Boat Club. Besides his parents, Peter was preceded in death by his wife, the former Regina Sulka, whom he married May 13, 1965, and who died August 1, 1999. He leaves his daughter, Barbara Ann Sawicki of Kinsman; and his brother, Casey (Marianne) Sawicki of Youngstown. Calling Hours are Thursday, June 9th, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
