Mesa, Arizona - Richard John Anthony, Sr., 81, of Phoenix, Arizona, peacefully entered the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on September 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on January 6, 1944 in Ashtabula Ohio, John was the son of Lee and Rachel Anthony. After graduating from Ashtabula High School, John married the first of two loves in his life, Beverly. They moved to Arizona in 1975 where he worked in aerospace machining before transitioning into mortgage banking. An entrepreneur at heart, he also founded Wide World of Trophies and later SanJon Laser, providing plaques and awards to schools, teams, and community events. After retirement, he stayed active delivering flowers and driving for Uber, always ready to help others.

After Beverly's passing in 2003, John married the second love in his life Sandra, with whom he shared nearly 22 years and was blessed to be a step-dad to her 4 children and Grandfather to the extended family.

John loved coaching youth baseball and softball, serving his community, and cheering on his favorite teams. He was an active member of the Lakes Baptist Church, The Tempe Jaycees and coached countless youth ball teams for the City of Tempe and the Tempe School district.

John is survived by his wife, Sandra; his three children, Kimberly (Chad) Fisher, Suzanne Cincera, Richard John (Tammy) Anthony, Jr., his four step-children; Nancy Cirricione, Liz (Justin) Cirricione-Summerville, Lynn Cirricione, and Kyle Enriquez; ten grandchildren, Victor, Kayla, Jordan, Kirsten, Brett, Chandler, Sabastian, Caroline, Melina, and Tommy; and one great grandchild Liam.
