Richard L. Swiger, age 62, of Gerrardstown, West Virginia, passed away at home on Sunday, July 14, 2024.

Born on December 17, 1961, in Painesville, Ohio to his late parents Bernard and Gladia (Kuhn) Swiger. Rick graduated from Perry High School in 1980 where he met his wife of 42 years, Terry (Sullivan).

Rick recently retired in January of 2024 as truck driver. He traveled many miles behind the wheel on the open road throughout his 36 year career. He's now driving the streets of Heaven. Rick was a man of faith. His favorite pastime was sitting in his recliner and strumming gospel tunes on his guitar. What made him the happiest was fellowshipping with family and friends and having some good ol' coffee time around the table. He loved a good hot coffee, dessert, and laughing! His household was always full, lots of talking, and many laughs.

Rick is survived by his wife Terry, of Gerrardstown, West Virginia; daughter, Melissa (Jason) Marshall of Gerrardstown, West Virginia; son, Christian Swiger of Wardensville, West Virginia; brother, Randy (Cathy) Swiger of Perry, Ohio; and one grandson, Brantley Marshall.

Rick has preceded death by his mother, Gladia Swiger and his father, Bernard Swiger.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 19, 2024 from 10:00am-12:00pm at Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. Funeral service to follow. Final resting place will be Perry Cemetery, Perry, Ohio.
